Our Mission at Prep For School
”Equipping children with the essential tools for success in both school and beyond.”
My why behind the program..
During my time teaching kindergarten, my colleagues and I consistently observed that many students struggled with the transition from preschool or daycare to the higher expectations of primary school. It was clear that some foundational skills were missing, making the adjustment challenging.
As a parent, I’ve seen this firsthand with my son, Max. Watching him struggle has given me a deep understanding of the anxiety and guilt parents feel when they’re told their child is falling behind. It’s a difficult experience, and one that no parent should face alone.
Thankfully, I knew the steps to take to give Max the best chance for success. This personal journey inspired me to create a program focused on building a strong foundation of school readiness skills.
Through Prep for School, I aim to ignite a love of learning in both children and parents. Ultimately, our goal is to equip children with the skills they need to thrive in school and beyond—giving them the confidence to succeed from day one.
Meet The Team
My name is Brooke Costaganna and I am the founder of Prep For School.
I am a highly experienced primary school teacher with over a decade of involvement in the classroom. Previously, I have have been employed in leadership roles enabling me to partake in various Literacy and Numeracy training. This ongoing professional development has allowed me to tailor the learning to meet the different needs of my students and help them reach their fullest potential.
More importantly, I am a wife and mother to three beautiful children who are experts at keeping me on my toes. I am fortunate enough to live in a beautiful home in Kenthurst, which enables my little ones to have the luxury of space to run around and take advantage of nature around them.
It is a mixture of my own experiences as a teacher as well as my son’s learning journey that play a huge part in why I have created this service.
