My son’s time in this school readiness program has been extremely beneficial to his confidence and skills in preparation for kindergarten. The educators are kind, patient and have helped cater to my son’s learning needs as well as providing me with guidance and tips on how to encourage his learning and prepare him further at home. My child didn’t attend daycare so I really wanted to find something that could help prepare him with a good foundation for starting school.
Our child has shown so much growth from his year with the lovely teachers at Prep for School and he has always really enjoyed it.
The small classes meant that the teachers had the time to really focus in on each child individually as well as keeping the parents in the loop which I loved.
Its been amazing to see him start his school orientations with such confidence and I know we have Prep for School to thank for that!

A wonderful program to get your child ready for school. I am amazed by the progress my son made during his year with Miss Brooke. He started the year not knowing how to write his name and not knowing letters, sounds or numbers. He can now confidently write his own name, knows so many letters and sounds, and is counting with ease. He is so prepared for kindy and his confidence has grown immensely. Most of all, the entire year he was counting down the days until he could see Miss Brooke again. He had so much fun in each and every class and is very sad to finish the program!

The growth we have seen in her has been exponential. Isla’s letter formation and fine motor skills have improved significantly during this time.
She’s also learning her phonics and is starting to read on her own.
The small class sizes have allowed our daughter to have a high level of individual attention where MissBrooke sets individual goals based on skill levels.

I could not recommend Brooke and her team enough!
Brooke’s teaching style is so effective. My son is usually quite introverted however Brooke’s encouragement and effective teaching methods helped him come out of his shell and really develop well socially and academically.
The activities are so diverse- from science experiments to learning the alphabet in such an engaging way.
Brooke also provides really timely and detailed summaries of the activities that the kids took part in during the session.

“My daughter attended Prep For School with Ms Brooke for two terms. I remember my initial conversation with Brooke, I was very nervous! My daughter was not really interested in learning her retention if I did try to help her learn was minimal. I was seeing kids of similar ages doing far more than she was, and whilst the saying goes “every child is different” I knew I had to do more.
I contacted Brooke and she was absolutely divine right from the beginning. I knew both Tahlia and I were in safe hands and immediately knew I made the right decision. Brooke always gave me the confidence to believe how great Tahlia was doing and that she was a keen learner. Ms Brooke’s teaching methods worked so well for Tahlia and almost immediately we saw growth! There was a huge shift in Tahlia and my husband and I were blown away. All of a sudden she wanted to learn more and more and most importantly she would listen to what we could teach her or how we could help her to do it a little better.
Her preschool teachers pulled me aside and complemented how they saw the change in Tahlia and for the first time she was not scared to try the ‘big work’.

“I enrolled my Daughter into Prep for School at the beginning of Term 3 as I was wanting her to be challenged socially before she began Kindergarten in the new year (2024). Mason has gone from being miserable to go to Preschool up to 24 hours beforehand to being so excited to come to “Ms Brooke’s school.” He has even made positive comments about how you care for children who are upset. It has been a load off my mind that he is happy to come every week. The communication has been excellent. I love the photos every week, appreciate the newsletters and seeing Mason in them. Mason is so keen to continue learning at home. It was great to receive the goals for next term – especially when they align with what I am seeing and working on with him. It really proved how well you have got to known him in such a short amount of time. Today he even told me that he is working on learning his teen numbers! In terms of that goal (Confidently identifying and creating quantities from numbers 1-20) I like that it is obvious that you are developing a conceptual understanding with the use of quantities rather than through rote – it is so reassuring to see we are on the same page!
